Admissions & applying

Applying to BCBT

Typically, you will need to submit:

  • A completed application form
  • Copy of your passport/ID
  • Certified copies of your secondary school diploma and transcripts (or earlier qualifications, depending on the level you apply for)
  • Proof of English proficiency (e.g., IELTS)
  • A CV and motivation letter

Requirements depend on the qualification. For the NCC Education Level 3 Foundation we require IELTS 4.5 (or equivalent); students entering with IELTS 4.5–5.4 follow Route B, which adds an English module. For the RNCP qualifications (Paris Education / ESTIAM) we typically require IELTS 5.5 (or equivalent). For NCC Education Levels 4–6, entry requirements depend on the level — contact admissions.

We accept several other English tests as equivalents (TOEFL, PTE, Cambridge, Duolingo, and more) — contact admissions for the current equivalency table for your target qualification. If you need to improve your English first, see our English preparation page.

If your IELTS score is below 5.5, you may be eligible for the Level 3 Foundation (requires IELTS 4.5), which includes English for Academic Purposes and, on Route B, an additional English language module. You can also prepare through BCBT's on-campus English preparation programme before you begin your main qualification.

We have two intakes a year, in February and September.

  • February 2027 Intake: application deadline 12 February 2027; teaching starts 22 February 2027.
  • September 2027 Intake: application deadline 17 September 2027; teaching starts 27 September 2027.

The same deadline applies to every applicant. We recommend applying early.

BCBT teaches in two semesters a year. Each semester has 16 weeks: 14 teaching weeks, midterm assessments worth one week (spread across the teaching period) and a final exam week, with breaks for Belgian public holidays and the Flemish school holidays. The spring semester 2027 runs from 22 February to 25 June 2027 and the autumn semester 2027 from 27 September 2027 to 4 February 2028. February and September starters follow the same semesters, for every programme including the Level 3 Foundation (Semester 1 and Semester 2). All dates are in the academic calendar.

Yes. After an official deadline has passed, late applications are evaluated on a case-by-case basis. If you missed a deadline, please contact our admissions office immediately to see if we can still accommodate you.

There is no strict upper age limit. However, the minimum age for our qualifications is generally 17/18 years old. We welcome mature students who bring professional experience to the classroom.

An Offer Letter (or Admission Letter) confirms you meet the academic requirements. The Enrolment Certificate (Registration Letter) is the official document confirming your registration. It is issued only after you have paid the first semester fees in full. Without this payment, the certificate cannot be released.

BCBT & qualifications

BCBT, qualifications & recognition

Brussels College of Business and Technology (BCBT) is a business school in Brussels offering business and technology qualifications at Levels 3 to 6. Students study on our campus in Zaventem, in English, and work towards qualifications awarded by recognised awarding bodies: Ofqual-regulated NCC Education qualifications and French RNCP qualifications awarded by Paris Education (ESTIAM). A Belgian VKS Level 6 offer is in preparation.

Our NCC Education qualifications (Levels 3–6) are awarded by NCC Education and regulated by Ofqual in the UK (RQF levels). Our RNCP qualifications are awarded by Paris Education (ESTIAM) and registered in the French National Register of Professional Certifications (RNCP, France Compétences). BCBT delivers them in Brussels. See our qualifications for the full overview.

BCBT - Brussels College of Business and Technology is operated by Scholaria BV, founder of Brussels College. Our NCC Education qualifications are offered through Brussels College's NCC Education Accredited Partner Centre (centre code SCH005), and our RNCP qualifications, awarded by Paris Education (ESTIAM), are delivered under the Brussels College–Estiam partnership. The Belgian VKS Level 6 programmes in preparation are to be delivered by BCBT. See BCBT and Brussels College.

BCBT offers: (1) NCC Education Ofqual-regulated qualifications, Levels 3–6, starting with the Level 3 International Foundation Diploma for Higher Education Studies (Business or Computing); (2) French RNCP qualifications awarded by Paris Education (ESTIAM): International Business Developer, Data and Applications Designer-Developer and Business Management; and (3) Belgian VKS Level 6 programmes, which are in preparation and not yet open for application. Use the programme finder to compare them.

BCBT brings regulated qualifications from Level 3 to Level 6 together on one campus in Brussels: you can start where your previous studies place you and progress without changing campus, with small classes and practical, career-focused teaching in business and technology.

The NCC Education Level 3 International Foundation Diploma for Higher Education Studies (L3IFDHES, Business or Computing pathway) is a one-year, 120-credit, Ofqual-regulated (RQF Level 3) programme, taught over two semesters (60 credits each), for students who:

  • Do not meet the standard academic entry requirements for higher-level study.
  • Have an IELTS score of at least 4.5 (Route B for 4.5–5.4, Route A for 5.5 and above).

It provides the academic and English skills to progress confidently to Level 4 and higher education. See the Business and Computing pages.

RNCP is the French National Register of Professional Certifications (managed by France Compétences). Each RNCP qualification has a registration number and a level on the French/European framework (EQF). At BCBT you can study International Business Developer (RNCP 37849, EQF Level 6), Data and Applications Designer-Developer (RNCP 37873, EQF Level 6) and Business Management (RNCP 40257, EQF Level 7), all awarded by Paris Education (ESTIAM). See RNCP qualifications.

Not yet. The Belgian Level 6 programmes (Office Manager, Data Manager) are in preparation: they are designed to align with the Flemish VKS Level 6 framework and will be delivered by BCBT. They are not yet open for application — see the VKS Level 6 page.

Assessment methods vary by qualification and module and are set by the awarding body. They generally include a mix of assignments, projects, presentations, and examinations. Our goal is to assess not just your theoretical knowledge, but your ability to apply it in practical scenarios. You will receive detailed criteria for each assessment.

We maintain small class sizes to ensure personalized attention and better interaction with faculty. This approach fosters a supportive learning environment.

We offer career services including one-on-one coaching, CV workshops and internship placement assistance, and we help students look for work experience with employers in the Brussels area.

It is wise to check the legal framework of the institution you choose. BCBT is not listed on government registers of institutions awarding national Belgian degrees, and we do not award Belgian degrees. Our students earn qualifications awarded by NCC Education (UK, Ofqual-regulated) and Paris Education (ESTIAM) (France, RNCP).

Recognition of your qualification depends on the awarding body and the regulator or register behind it: Ofqual (RQF) for NCC Education qualifications, and France Compétences (RNCP) for the Paris Education (ESTIAM) qualifications. If you plan to use a qualification in a particular country or for a specific profession, check recognition with the relevant authority or contact our admissions team.
